Online safety
When you meet people on the internet, it's not like meeting them in real life. This is because you can't see them, and you don't know if they really are who they say they are.
You should treat them as strangers, even if you talk to them every day.
You would never give a stranger your home address, phone number or email address, so you shouldn't give it to someone on the internet.
And if someone keeps asking you for any of these details, tell your parents or a teacher straight away.
Remember
Never give away any of these details to someone on the internet:
- Home Address
- Phone Numbers
- Email Address
- Passwords
Remember, if you need to talk to someone you can call Kids Helpline 24 hours a day, 7 days a week on 1800 55 1800, or use our web or email counselling services
